Three Queensland teenagers arrested after stabbing elderly man in eye with pick

Three Gold Coast teenagers have been arrested following a brutal pick attack on an elderly couple this afternoon.
Police were called to a Coombabah home shortly after 1pm following reports a 65-year-old man had been stabbed in the eye with a pick, the Courier Mail reports.
Officers arrived to find the man's eye socket broken and an elderly woman's arm broken, with the pick handle nearby.
Both have been taken to hospital for treatment.
A 14-year-old boy who was reported fleeing from the scene was later arrested along with two other teenagers.
It is not clear what motivated the attack.
The trio will remain in custody, pending charges.
