‘We heard a baby crying’: One-year-old among three injured in unit explosion

Three people, including a one-year-old boy, have been taken to hospital following an explosion at an apartment on the NSW Central Coast.

An 18-year-old man suffered burns to 60 percent of his body in the gas blast at a unit block in Point Frederick, Gosford, about 3pm today.

“We heard people start screaming and a baby crying,” a resident from the apartment above told 9NEWS.

“Everyone was just distraught.”

Another 24-year-old man suffered burns to 30 percent of his body.

The pair were airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital tonight, while the one-year-old was taken to Gosford Hospital with minor burns to his face.
