Three people die of drug overdoses in Perth in 24 hour period
Three people have died of drug overdoes in Perth in the last 24 hours, prompting a warning from police.
WA Police say three people have died in the city overnight and earlier today, with several others requiring emergency medical attention.
Toxicology results are not yet available but police have singled out the drug GHB, also known as fantasy, as a possible link to several of the overdoses.

"We ask all those who are using, or who are contemplating using, illicit drugs, and their families and friends, to be extremely mindful of the serious consequences associated with this activity," they said in a statement.
"Users rarely know the purity, strength or origin of illicit drugs and this puts them at significant risk of injury or death."
