Three charged for ramming vic police car

Three men have been charged for ramming two police cars with a stolen vehicle in Melbourne's north.

Police investigated a report about a suspicious car in Preston at about 8.45am on Friday morning.

The car was in an underground car park and two men allegedly tried to drive the vehicle out but crashed into a police car.

A police officer suffered a hand injury in the incident and was taken to hospital as were two of the men who had minor injuries.

Police were forced to use OC spray to detain the men.

Daniel Cleghorn, 26, of Meadow Heights, and Milad Khaia, 24, of Craigieburn, have been charged with 11 counts of conduct endangering life and conduct causing serious injury.

They have also been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, being equipped to steal, behaving in a dangerous manner and careless driving.

Alexander Filipovic, 29, of Coburg, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, use of drugs of dependence and two counts of resisting police.

The trio fronted an out of sessions court hearing on Friday night.

They have been remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday.
