Australian band Thirsty Merc will celebrate their 15-year anniversary with a 20-date national tour.

The band will be performing music from their debut, self-titled album which included the songs, Someday Someday and In The Summertime, their 2007 album Slideshows, 2010's Mousetrap Heart, and their independent release from 2015, Shifting Gears.

It's been a tough few years for the band, whose stage manager Shane Cooper died in a car accident on the way to a show in 2015.

"It's thanks to the fans that we're still here, loving life and music, 15 years later and this tour is a big 'thank you' to everyone who's sung along with us over the years, as well as a great opportunity to dust off some songs we've never included in our shows," Frontman Rai Thistlethwayte said.

* Thirsty Merc's tour will kick off in The Zoo in Brisbane on November 2, and will finish in Fowlers Live, Adelaide on December 16
