Blue Wiggle hospitalised during band’s USA tour

The Wiggles original band member Anthony Field has been hospitalised in the United States during a tour of the popular children’s show.

The Australian entertainer, better known as the Blue Wiggle, has posted a photo on his Instagram page of him being put into an ambulance with a bandaged nose in Boston on Monday.

The 55-year-old said he collided with a revolving door and required 12 stitches to his nose.

“A big thank you to the ambos and Doc Rice at the Tuft Medical Center in Boston,” he captioned the photo.

“Twelve stitches in my nose after walking the wrong way into a revolving door.”

Luckily, the mishap occurred on the last day of performances with fellow band members Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie and Simon Pryce.
