The homes on once-affordable streets now worth millions
New data has revealed that Queensland and NSW have some of the most expensive streets in the country, in suburbs once considered affordable.
From Enoggera to Ipswich, Redcliffe and Daisy Hill, these former working-class suburbs are now home to some of Queensland's most expensive streets.
"It could be that they have a really great view, that they could be close to water, often they've got really big blocks, big homes or close to things like great public transport, infrastructure, schools or a retail precinct," Ray White chief economist Nerida Conisbee said.

There are only 26 homes on Elfreda Street in Enoggera, about 8 kilometres west of the city, and the median house price is now a staggering $2.8 million, more than twice the suburb median.
Lynette Way in Daisy Hill has also become a millionaire's row with a median house value of $1.8 million.
In Waterfront Drive in Karalee, the median price is $1.4 million.

The once-affordable suburb of Redcliffe, Prince Edward Parade now boasts some of the most expensive homes in the state with a median price of $2.2 million - three times the suburb median.
One five-bedroom, four-bathroom beachfront home with a pool is selling for more than $5.5 million.
It's not just Queensland where big homes on large blocks are in demand.
Twin Creeks Drive in Sydney's famously working-class western suburbs is home to some of NSW's most prestigious mansions, complete with movie theatres and mega garages with a new airport nearby driving prices sky high.
"Prices start at $2.5 million for half-acre lots and are going $3.5 [million] plus," Konstantin Melnikov from Morton real estate said.
