The Easybeats frontman Stevie Wright dies aged 68

The Easybeats frontman Stevie Wright has died aged 68, according to reports.
The lead singer died last night in a hospital on the NSW south coast after falling ill on Boxing Day, music journalist Paul Cashmere reported.
The Sydney rock band recorded hits including 'Friday on My Mind', 'She's so Fine', 'Sorry', and 'Good Times'.
The band disbanded in the 1960s, and Wright enjoyed a successful solo career that included the release of 'Evie'.
Wright was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005, and last performed at the Legends of Rock Festival in 2009, according to Cashmere.
He died in Moruya hospital about 6pm, Cashmere said.
Rock historian Glenn Baker has also told News Talk 6PR that Wright has died.
