In just a few days, The Block contestants will face their toughest critics - the viewers.

The renovated houses will open to the public from 10am on Sunday in Melbourne, giving fans a chance to walk through all the properties.

But first - A Current Affair was given an exclusive sneak peak.

This year The Block contestants took on the biggest renovation the show has ever had, and the strain has told on the different couples throughout the season.

But they have managed to push through the stress to create some spectacular rooms that have blown the judges away.

Perth power couple Ronnie and Georgia said they were most proud of their master suite - but admitted it hurt losing the ratings for the room by half a point to competitors Josh and Elyse.

Rookie renovators Hannah and Clint can also look back on the experience with fondness.

"The fact that we got through it and we've created this beautiful house - we're so proud of that," Hannah said.

The season has had its share of scandals - including Sarah and Jason nearly getting booted from the show.

Host Scott Cam said it was the hardest thing he'd ever had to do on The Block.

But now, they're all waiting for their die-hard fans to deliver their verdict ahead of the big auction day.

The open inspection runs from 10am-2pm at 46 Regent Street, Elsternwick, Victoria.
