Several Aussie cities have made Time Out's list of the world's 50 best cities this year, including Brisbane, which came in at number 37 for its sunny weather and green spaces.
Perth flew the flag for the west coast, securing the 33rd place for its "thriving arts scene" and beachside lifestyle.
Sydney's attention-grabbing beaches earned it spot number 15.
But one Aussie city rose in the ranks to claim the title of the fourth best city in the world.

10. Copenhagen, Denmark
Loved by people around for the world for its relaxed feel and sustainable outlook, the Danish capital claims the 10th spot in the best cities in the world for 2025.
Locals attribute Copenhagen's integration of hygge - a way of life which prioritises presence and comfortability - to the reason they love the city so much.

A gem of the Iberian peninsula, the seaside town of Porto earns its place as the eighth best city in the world.

7. Mexico City, Mexico

London was bumped down one spot to number five this year, but locals still think it's the place to be.

4. Melbourne, Australia
Melbourne climbed 16 places on the list this year to claim the title of the world's fourth best city.
The Aussie city's victory comes months after Time Out voted High Street in Northcote the coolest street in the world.
World class cuisine and culture headlines the dossier of reasons Melbourne received the fourth spot, with a special nod to the MCG, which hosted Taylor Swift's biggest ever concert in February last year.
Australia's largest-ever exhibition of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama's work, on now at the NGV, was also a major draw care for the coveted fourth spot.
3. New York City, USA
Commonly atop of the bucket list of avid travellers, there's no surprise the Big Apple had a podium finish in Timeout's Best cities of the world.
The city's vibrant neighbourhoods, world class arts and culture scene and attractions earned it third place in the 2025 rankings.
1. Cape Town, South Africa
Enveloped by pristine waters and steeped in historic significance, South Africa's second-largest city came out on top as the best city in the world this year.
Stunning views from Table Mountain and a new wine safari through the Durbanville Wine Valley were among the attractions Cape Town locals love.
