Iconic Aussie rockers The Angels honoured with laneway in their name
Iconic Australian rock band The Angels have been recognised with a laneway in their home city named in their honour.
"The Angels Lane", situated just off Hindley Street in Adelaide's CBD, was unveiled today to acknowledge the band's contribution to Australian music.
Located behind the Hindley Street Music Hall, The Angels Lane features two murals that guide visitors through to the western end of the city.

"We're just blown away that this has happened," guitarist John Brewster said.
The Angels' impact on the Australian music scene spans decades, with their 1976 anthem Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again recently voted number 12 in Triple J's Hottest 100 Australian songs of all time.

"It wasn't a very big deal at the time but it seems to have become a big deal.

The Angels are the fifth local music item to have an Adelaide laneway named after them, joining Paul Kelly, Cold Chisel, Sia, and No Fixed Address.
