Teens charged after police car allegedly rammed by two stolen cars in Melbourne

CCTV has captured the moments an alleged crime spree came to an end for seven teens in Melbourne's west.

The teens, aged between 14-19, were arrested about 5pm on Tuesday after they allegedly rammed a police car with stolen vehicles.

Police said they received reports there was a group of teens acting suspiciously around a black Range Rover Evoke and a white Mazda sedan in Wildwood Place in Tarneit.

Police said the cars were stolen and officers attended to corner off the area.

Two police cars drove into Wildwood Place to arrest the offenders, before the driver of the stolen Mazda allegedly rammed the police car.

The car then reversed and drove through a bollard, ending up in a creek.

The offenders inside the Mazda attempted to flee the scene.

The driver of the stolen Range Rover allegedly rammed the same police car, which disabled the Range Rover, and all offenders got out and fled.

Police searched the area and located the seven teens, who were arrested and interviewed.

A 16-year-old from Wyndham Vale and 19-year-old from Truganina were charged with theft of a motor vehicle, as were an 18-year-old from Truganina, a 17-year-old from Tarneit and two 14-year-olds from Truganina.

The 18- and 17-year-old were also charged with endangering an emergency services worker and others and will face a children's court for a remand application.

A 16-year-old from Tarneit was charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle.
