Teen reported missing from Sydney's north-west found safe

A teenager reported missing from Sydney's north-west has been located safe and well.

Stella Whittaker, 13, was last seen at her house in Carlingford in the city's north-west about 11am yesterday and her parents reported her missing after she failed to return home.

Following inquiries, she was located safe and well in Liverpool about 5pm today.

Police wish to thank the public for their assistance in the matter.
