Teen stabbed while running from youths in Wetherill Park

A teenage boy has been stabbed during an altercation between two groups of youths in Wetherill Park, in Sydney’s west.

A group of six male youths were standing and talking to four young women on Polding Street about 6.30pm yesterday when another group of males ran towards them, police said.

While fleeing from the approaching group, a 15-year-old boy ran to Restwell Road and was then stabbed by one of the pursuers.

A bystander drove the boy to Fairfield Hospital. He has since been transferred to Liverpool Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
