A teenager who stormed a private school bus in Sydney and yelled anti-Semitic threats has been ordered to tour the Jewish Museum.

The offender took part in a youth justice conference on Tuesday in which he came face to face with one of his victims and their parents, News Corp reports.

The teen and two others boarded the bus in Bondi on August 6 as it was transporting children aged five to 12 from a number of Jewish schools.

The teens threatened to cut their throats and chanted "Kill the Jews" and "Heil Hitler".

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies chief executive Vic Alhadeff, who was present at Tuesday's conference, said the offender, who is in his late teens, was made to explain his actions to his young victim.

The offender was remorseful and said he was drunk at the time of his tirade.

Afterwards, Mr Alhadeff made two suggestions to the offender, now legally binding under the young offenders act, to do a two-hour guided tour of the Sydney Jewish Museum and enroll in a "Respect, Understanding, Acceptance" program.

Mr Alhadeff recommended the teen read Primo Levi's If This Is A Man and Elie Wiesel 's Night.
