Teen arrested over Gold Coast cat attack
A teenager is due to appear in court tomorrow after being arrested for the mutilation of a cat on the Gold Coast last week.
In a shocking act of animal cruelty, a cat was decapitated and its blood was used to write a message on a garage door in the suburb of Arundel last Tuesday.
"Whers (sic) my money? Tik tok!" the message read.
This afternoon a 19-year-old man was arrested over the attack and charged with wilfully killing an animal, arson and wilful damage, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports.
The cat, named Moo, was allegedly taken from a nearby home and was mutilated for the attack.
"I felt sick when I realised it was Moo," owner Mady White said.
"It's so disgusting. I can't believe it."
A car was also set on fire in the attack.
