Team Xenophon looking good in SA: poll
The Nick Xenophon Team candidate for the South Australian seat of Grey could well be heading for Canberra.
A Seven Network ReachTEL poll says Andrea Broadfoot, a member of the Port Lincoln Council, would comfortably defeat sitting Liberal MP Rowan Ramsey by 54-46 per cent.
Mr Ramsey would attract 38 per cent of first preference votes, against 29.3 per cent for Ms Broadfoot.
But 75.9 per cent of the 665 residents polled said they would preference her higher.
Yet Mr Ramsey doesn't seem to be that badly regarded, with only 21.3 per cent rating his performance as poor or very poor.
Grey covers most of South Australia, including the steel city of Whyalla. Mr Ramsey won Grey in 2013 with a margin of nearly 14 per cent.
