Teacher says 'I do' in front of students who lined the aisle wearing ring pops

A teacher has given her own pupils the cutest lesson in love by inviting them to be part of her wedding day.

Twenty students donning ring pops lined the aisle of Mikhala Fisher’s wedding to make it complete.

The primary school teacher married the love of her life, Jesse, on April 7, in front of 100 of their closes family and friends – with 20 of them being her students.

Mrs Fisher told 9news.com.au her students would have “stickybeaked” if they weren’t invited as the ceremony was held across the road from her school at Ravens Creek Farm in Victoria.

“I had taught the same kids from Prep to Grade 2 and the same kids from Prep to Grade 1,” the 28-year-old said.

“Having taught them for a couple of years, they had a big impact on my life. They knew when I got engaged so I thought it would be cute to have them there.

“The ring pops were my little thank you for coming.”

Mrs Fisher said the students were told to arrive at 3pm on the day for a 3.30pm ceremony.

“They were peering down the aisle and my principal (Suzanne Prendergast) told them to shhh,” she laughed.

“They were excited to see the photos. I have one of the photos on my screensaver at work and they love to point out and say “that’s me”.”

Mr Fisher, also 28, is a primary school teacher as well.

“He teaches Grade 3 at a school in the city,” Mrs Fisher said.

“At the time, he said “I didn’t know the whole school is coming”.

“I’ve been teaching for seven years and four years at Moriac Primary School.”
