Teacher's 'misconceived attempt at humour' nets good behaviour bond
A suspended teacher has been slapped with a good behavior bond after he drove his car into the path of students playing basketball.
Michael Araco, 30, was teaching at Cabramatta High School when the incident took place on the last day of term four in 2019.

He drove laps around one teenager, and forced another to get out of his way.
Today, Mr Araco's lawyer said the incident was a "misconceived attempt at humour" on the final day of school.
"There was no need to intimidate," he said.

The magistrate said the incident was reckless, comparing the behavior to that of a 17 or 18-year-old.
Mr Araco is currently suspended, but despite no conviction today, it's unlikely he'll teach again.
In court, he apologised to affected students, who have been offered counselling.
