Worker dies on Bass Strait ferry

A worker onboard a Bass Strait passenger ferry has died, sparking a police investigation.

The man died on Monday morning after the Spirit of Tasmania made it to Devonport and acting Inspector Tony Stewart said that while detectives will investigate, the death is not considered suspicious.

"As a result of this incident, the day sailing to Melbourne was delayed approximately two hours," Insp Stewart said.
