Woman killed in Tasmanian crash

A 23-year-old woman from NSW has died in a two-vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway near Nelsons Creek in Tasmania.

Police say the woman was a passenger in a sedan that collided with the front of an oncoming utility at around 6.35pm on Friday.

The 24-year-old driver of the sedan was taken by helicopter to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.

The utility driver and his 27-year-old female passenger were not seriously injured and were taken to the same hospital by ambulance.
