Two charged over burglary, gun threat

Two men have been charged over a Tasmanian burglary in which a man and woman were threatened with a gun.

The woman was forced to lie on the floor of her Chigwell home on Wednesday while the man was made to hand over money and prescription medication.

Police arrested two men in their mid-20s, from Claremont and Glenorchy, on Thursday.

They were charged with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated burglary and firearms offences.

Police say they have recovered the gun believed to have been used in the robbery.

The men will face the Hobart Court of Petty Sessions on Friday.
