Three charged after fatal Tas crash

The three surviving drivers of a fatal four-car smash in northern Tasmania have been charged.

Christine Sylvia Bone died in the October 2 crash on the Bass Highway near Devonport.

Police said on Tuesday they had charged a 63-year-old man with negligent driving causing death and driving a vehicle with an insecure load.

A woman behind the wheel of another vehicle has been charged with driving with an illicit drug in her body.

The third driver will be summonsed for allegedly having an unrestrained child in their car at the time of the crash.

All matters will be heard in the Devonport Magistrates Court at a date to be confirmed.
