Teen charged over Tas taxi armed robbery

A 16-year-old has been charged with using a knife to rob a taxi driver of his mobile phone in Launceston.

The driver wasn't injured in the fracas, which took place in a Mowbray carpark late on Tuesday.

The teenager was bailed to appear at a Launceston court on on October 13, where he'll face aggravated armed robbery charges, while police say a second youth has been identified and could also be charged.
