Tasmanian woman killed in store robbery

A Hobart grocery store owner has died after she was stabbed multiple times in an alleged robbery on a popular shopping strip.

The 68-year-old was stabbed numerous times in the upper body while working at A & B Food store on Elizabeth Street, North Hobart, about 12:20pm on Saturday, and died a short time later.

Police say a metal cash drawer has been taken, and suggest robbery could be a possible motive.
