Tasmania's tourism boom is continuing to drive jobs growth for the island state, a new report shows.

In the 12 months to the end of June tourism-related jobs rose by 4500 compared to the previous year, Treasurer Peter Gutwein said on Friday, citing figures from Tourism Research Australia.

"The (report) also found that tourism's total value to the Tasmanian economy grew by $270 million over those 12 months, setting a new record of $2.55 billion, or 9.9 per cent of total gross state product," Mr Gutwein said.
