Tas man sentenced over child images

When a Tasmanian man sold his computer the new owner found in its drive a disc containing images of naked children.

The discovery sparked a police investigation and on Friday the 35-year old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, received a suspended eight-month sentence in the Supreme Court after pleading guilty to possessing child exploitation material.

Investigators found more than 3000 images and videos on a laptop computer and mobile phone some of which the man admitted downloading.
