Tas fire crews on alert for flare ups

The Tasmania Fire Service will continue to monitor more than 20 blazes across the state on Saturday, focusing on one at the Midlands.
The six-day fire near Osterley has burnt through more than 2600 hectares of dense bushland and on Friday flared as winds picked up, but crews have it contained and there is no immediate threat to private property, a TFS spokesman says.
"Crews will be patrolling fires and making sure they don't flare up," he told AAP of the weekend activities.
