Tas considers Wicked Campers ban

Tasmania will consider banning Wicked Campers emblazoned with offensive slogans from the state's national parks.

There has been a nationwide outcry over the company's Queensland-registered fleet of campervans, with complaints about the images and words on some vehicles being sexist and inciting drug use.

"Their vehicle may not be able to enter any national park in Tasmania until the Advertising Standards Board has made a favourable ruling on that vehicle's particular signage," Infrastructure Minister Rene Hidding told parliament on Thursday, adding that all local government-owned camping grounds may adopt a similar approach.
