Second person dies in Tas collision

A second person has died after a crash in northwest Tasmania involving two trucks and two cars.

A 32-year-old woman has died in hospital after suffering critical injuries in the crash on Thursday morning.

A 40-year-old Burnie man was killed instantly in the crash, which happened on the Bass Highway at Camdale.

It is believed the car the two were travelling in attempted to overtake a log truck before spearing into an oil tanker and then slamming into an oncoming four-wheel drive.

Police say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
