Search continues for fisherman in Tas

A fisherman remains missing after he was washed off rocks on the northern tip of Flinders Island.

The 42-year-old man was standing on the rocky shoreline when he was swept into the ocean at about 9am on Saturday at North East River, police say.

At least three planes joined local fishermen and emergency services in the search for the missing man.

The search for the Lady Barron man continued on Sunday with land searchers, the Westpac Rescue helicopter and several boats.
