Search for boat, men continues

Search crews have spent another fruitless day scouring waters southeast of Hobart looking for two men who went fishing in a small runabout more than a week ago.

The pair - a 26-year-old from Hobart and a New Zealander aged 35 - were among a group of four who failed to return from a fishing trip after launching from a beach at Cremorne on July 31.

The next day two bodies were found - those of Hobart men Magnus Julian Ritter, 34, and Luke William Davies, 32.

Subsequent daily searches have failed to find any trace of the outstanding duo or the ageing 4.9-metre boat which police said would have sunk if swamped.

Tuesday marked another day without finding any clues.

Nevertheless crews will resume searching on Wednesday, and plan to use sonar equipment and possibly divers.
