Search continues for missing Tas man

Police have searched nearly every property in a northern Tasmanian township for a 20-year-old man who went missing a fortnight ago.

Inspector Scott Flude says there are only a handful left to be inspected by more than 250 officers and volunteers looking for Ben Plowright, who hasn't been seen since he left a party at Perth on May 30.

Over 1000 properties and yards have been searched in the Perth area as well as roads, tracks, railway and rivers out to a 5km radius, the inspector said.

They are using every resource including the Search and Rescue Helicopter, remote control drones, trail bikes, quad bikes, horses and dogs.

Detectives do not believe there is a criminal element to the disappearance of Mr Plowright, whose mobile phone was used about six hours after he was last seen.
