Retirement time for sniffer dog

After an eight-year career detecting more than $10 million worth of illegal drugs it's retirement time for Yuli the Tasmania Police sniffer dog.
The golden labrador, nine, on Friday received a certificate of appreciation from commissioner Darren Hine for his work which has included screening mail, baggage, people, vehicles, buildings and freight for the scent of illicit drugs such as cannabis, cocaine and amphetamines.
"His expert nose has outsmarted drug traffickers time and time again," said handler and Senior Constable Jareth Anderson, whose family will care for Yuli in retirement.
