Police to track bikies' Tassie run

The Black Uhlans bikie gang's Tasmanian leg of its national run will be closely monitored by local and interstate police.

More than 100 members of the outlaw motorcycle gang are expected in the north of the state from Friday to Monday.

"We have planned a co-ordinated, highly visible presence in the Smithton and Devonport area for the duration of the (Black Uhlans) visit," said Tasmania Police Western District Acting Commander Tim Dooley.
