Five charged over alleged Tas kidnap

Five men have been charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault after a man was allegedly detained for two days at a Launceston property.

The 35-year-old Victorian man was safely released on Friday afternoon when specialist police swooped on the Rocherlea property.

It's alleged he was kidnapped on Wednesday.

Five men have been charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault.

They appeared before an out-of-sessions court hearing on Saturday morning.
