Pokies back on Tas parliament agenda

Tasmanian parliament resumes on Tuesday with the Greens putting the state's gaming industry back in the spotlight.

Party leader Cassy O'Connor wants to amend the terms of reference to the government's joint select committee on gambling and the pokies, as Tasmania eyes a future licensing agreement for the sector.

She said the real issue is whether the community wants poker machines in pubs and clubs and the committee's proposed guidelines do not address the matter.
