Medical professionals and euthanasia commentators will be among the witnesses giving evidence to a Tasmanian parliamentary committee looking at palliative care.

Three days of public hearings start in Hobart on Monday, focusing on medical treatments and how they are administered, including those given to children.

On day one, the lower house committee is due to hear from Motor Neurone Disease Association of Tasmania spokesman Tim Hynes and Dying with Dignity's Margaret Sing.

The Committee will also hear from doctors, academics, healthcare providers, advocacy groups and members of the public to help develop a set of recommendations that could better manage the sector.
