One man shot, another arrested in Tas

A man has been shot in the face and upper body in Launceston in an incident Tasmanian police say involved parties known to each other.

The 27-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after multiple shots were fired in the suburbs of Invermay and Newnham on Tuesday.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and is due to face court on numerous charges.
