More heavy rain on the way for Tas

A weather warning has been issued for parts of north and northwest Tasmania with heavy rain and strong winds forecast.

Up to 30mm of rain is expected to fall on Thursday and with some water catchments still brimming after floods a fortnight ago, there is the risk of further overflows, the SES says.

"We ask people to be aware of trees that may fall due to stronger winds and sodden ground and the increased risk of tree limbs falling," SES assistant director Nick Connolly said on Tuesday.
