Man dies in head-on crash in Tasmania

A man has died in a head-on collision in Tasmania's northwest.

Monday's crash happened after a car, driven by a 40-year-old man, crossed the centre line and collided with a truck at Rocky Cape around 2.15pm, police said.

The Youngtown man was trapped in his car and died at the scene.

The 51-year-old truck driver from Burnie was taken to North West General Hospital where he underwent surgery for facial injuries.
