Man concealed ice on flight: police

A man was carrying more than a quarter of a kilogram of the illegal drug ice when he arrived on a flight into Hobart, police allege.

The 22-year-old was searched on Friday and found to be concealing 280 grams of crystal methylamphetamine with a potential street value of $280,000, detective Inspector Jason Elmer said on Monday.

He has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and remanded in custody to face Hobart Magistrates Court.
