Man charged over Launceston burglaries

A Launceston man has been charged over a spate of burglaries across the city during which eight businesses were targeted in one night.

The 23-year old was arrested on Friday and charged with three counts of stealing, five burglaries and three attempted burglaries which occurred overnight, with windows smashed and cash stolen on some occasions.

He is due to face Launceston Magistrates Court on September 2.
