Man charged for fraud against Tas RSL

A man has been charged with swindling a Tasmanian RSL club out of more than $470,000.

The 49-year-old Miandetta man was caught after a 13-month investigation by Tasmanian Police, after a member of Ulverstone RSL club noticed anomalies in the financial figures.

The man has been charged with numerous fraud offences, including doctoring the club's books, and will face the Devonport Magistrates Court on February 9.
