Man arrested after fake gun sparks lock down at Hobart school

A man has been charged after allegedly going to a Hobart high school with a replica pistol.

Rose Bay High School went into lockdown on Monday just after 11am after a man was spotted with a weapon, police said in a statement.

He was arrested at the nearby Rosny Golf Course.

A 21-year-old has been charged with being armed in public and remanded in custody.
