Lambie wants consultation on Senate bills

Senator Jacqui Lambie has called for greater consultation with crossbenchers from the incoming government.

Listing four priorities she wants addressed early in the new parliament, including the establishment of a 50-cent per litre milk levy, Senator Lambie said the lack of communication in the last parliament caused "chaos and instability".

"Learn the lessons of the past and consult with crossbenchers before legislation is introduced to parliament," she said in a statement on Monday.
