Injured Tas fisherman winched to safety

An injured fisherman has had to spend the night on his boat with bad weather preventing a helicopter rescue off the Tasmanian coast.
The rescue helicopter was sent to Low Rocky Point on Monday night after a reports of an injured fisherman on a boat, police say.
Poor weather prevented the rescue and the helicopter was grounded at Strahan until Tuesday morning, with the 32-year-old Hobart man winched out at 8.30am.

He was taken to Royal Hobart Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
