Hobart man charged over stolen firewood

A Tasmanian man has allegedly gone to extreme and unlawful lengths to keep warm this winter, accused of stealing firewood from homes in Hobart.

The 31-year-old Berriedale man was on Wednesday charged with six counts of stealing and trespass, and was bailed to face Hobart Magistrates Court on June 13.

Tasmanian police believe there may be other unreported thefts and wish to speak with anyone who has had wood go missing recently.
