Hobart cabbie sought over hit-run crash

A Hobart cabbie is wanted for questioning over a hit-run crash that left an elderly Victorian man injured.

The 86-year-old man was walking with his wife across the Collins Street end of the Hobart bus mall when he was hit by a brown or bronze Toyota Camry taxi about 9.15pm on Sunday, leaving the man in hospital with a head wound.

Police say the taxi drove off towards Salamanca.
