Five accused of murdering man in Tas

Four men and a woman accused of murdering a young man in northwest Tasmania have appeared in court.

The 23-year-old died in the North West Regional Hospital on Sunday morning after an alleged altercation about 3am in the city of Burnie.

Kelsey Maree Ford, 21, Geoffrey James Deverell, 34, Lucas Shane Ford, 28, Michael William Hanlon, 52, and Cody Christopher Shane Sheehan, 31, appeared in Burnie Magistrates Court on Monday.

They were all remanded in custody and are expected to reappear on April 7.
